Intro

Do you care about animals? Do you enjoy bringing clarity to complex decisions, building thoughtful financial plans, and helping organisations use their resources wisely? Are you the sort of person who finds satisfaction in a well structured budget and a forecast that actually helps people make better decisions?

Animal Rising exists to accelerate the end of factory farming. We have already helped millions of animals, mobilised thousands of volunteers, and generated global attention around the treatment of animals in agriculture. But there are many more animals who still need us.

Because of that, Animal Rising is scaling. Over the next three years we expect to grow from around 30 to roughly 100 full time team members and from 1,000 to 10,000 high commitment volunteers.

To support this growth we are looking for a Finance Lead who will help ensure our financial systems, forecasts, and budgets support our mission and strategic decisions.

You will work closely with senior leadership to help guide budget strategy, ensure responsible financial planning, and build systems that allow the organisation to grow sustainably while maximising impact for animals.

About the Role

As the Finance Lead you’ll have what you need to kick-butt

  • A team of appreciative colleagues who care deeply about animals

  • Encouragement to design financial systems that actually work

  • The freedom to improve budgeting and forecasting frameworks

  • A beautiful high-ceilinged office near a park full of birds

  • A culture that values humour, warmth, and thoughtful collaboration

  • You enjoy working with people who care deeply about their mission

  • You appreciate a culture that values both competence and kindness

  • You like the idea of finance being a tool for real world change

  • You’re excited by environments that feel more like a movement startup than a traditional charity
